Bushbuck 25kBushbuck - Nairobi Park

Using ELISA, we identified 55 meals of nine species of Stomoxyinae captured in Nairobi National Park. The majority were taken from Bovidae, with 75% reacting strongly with antisera to Tragelaphinae (bushbuck). In Nairobi and in other areas of Kenya, clouds of flies are sometimes seen on bushbuck. These small flies may very well be Stomoxyinae.
